At Pedometer Express, we understand you need to find the best deal possible on pedometers / trackers for your group walking program. Many of our customers are non-profit groups, so we know every dollar counts.

There are a number of web sites offering pedometers for sale at unbelievable deals. Like anything else on the internet, be skeptical. Not all pedometers are created equal and neither are the people who sell them.

Below are the top 3 complaints we hear from customers who come to us AFTER their bad experience with another supplier. Click or tap each emoji face to learn more.

BEWARE THE DOLLAR DEAL! Pedometers are electronic devices, containing a memory chip, circuit board, a battery and other parts. Add the cost of labor, shipping costs, a little bit of profit, and common sense says when something is sold so cheaply, corners had to be cut somewhere before you buy them.

Unfortunately, when you ask for “the cheapest pedometer”, some suppliers are more than happy to take advantage of the request. Some see it as an opportunity to unload old, defective, returned or rejected products. Buying the cheapest pedometers is no bargain if your pedometers don’t work as expected. The phrase “you get what you pay for” is certainly true here.

A cheap pedometer is no deal if it doesn’t work correctly. At Pedometer Express, we may not be the cheapest, but we are the best value for your dollar. We’ll work with you to provide a quality item you can rely on to help make your program a success.

NOT ALL SUPPLIERS ARE BASED IN THE USA. It turns out many suppliers are based in foreign countries. They advertise too-good-to-be-true prices on the internet and some right on Amazon. They may even offer free shipping. They take your order and promise it will be shipped promptly.

What happens next is something few people realize. Your order is gathered and added to thousands and thousands of other small orders until a shipping container is filled. The container is put on a ship which can take weeks, even months to reach the USA. They’re dropped off at a distribution center, sorted, and eventually re-mailed to you.

Just because you can see a web site in the USA doesn’t mean the company is located here. Your money could be going to someone in another country. It may be difficult, if not impossible to speak to customer service if you have a question or problems. These companies will offer to refund your money if your pedometers don’t show up. Of course they should, but that’s little consolation when you have a walking program and no pedometers!

A reputable company should tell you where they’re located. Pedometer Express is located in Fertile Minnesota USA. You are welcome to call us at 218-945-3003 during regular business hours. All USA- based companies are listed with the Better Busines Bureau. Pedometer Express has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.

HOW MUCH DOES THE SUPPLIER KNOW ABOUT WHAT THEY’RE SELLING? Avoid companies who sell everything from pedometers to beer bottle openers. Their goal is to put a logo on something to sell you. They have little interest in your walking program. It’s doubtful they’ll take the time to test and make sure their products count accurately before selling to you.

Other suppliers have web sites with seemingly hundreds of pedometers for sale. You have to wonder if they really know the difference between different models. (They don’t.) It’s also likely the do not have any models in stock and they’ll have to “special order” them for you.

At Pedometer Express, our business is pedometers and trackers since 2006. We know each model inside and out. Better quality products means fewer complaints from walkers and more satisfied program coordinators. (If you want an imprint on your bulk order, we can do that too.)

We triple test every pedometer and carefully pack your order so it reaches you in “ready to walk” condition. If you aren’t happy with your order we’ll work with you to make it right. After all, the goal is to get more people walking. That’s our commitement to you.

PEDOMETER EXPRESS has extensive feedback about pedometer and tracker models from group walking program coordinators in all professions. If you’re purchasing for one of the programs listed below, you may find the information helpful.
